Last Wednesday, 60-70 mile an hour winds blew into North Texas. Blowin’ in with it, came a bug that hit me hard. Thursday morning it started hitting me, by Saturday I had a full blown cold. Since then, I’ve been laying on my futon, surrounded by orange juice and used and new Kleenexes, gorging on Dayquil and Nyquil and trying to get better. Today, I finally regained a little of my taste back, smell is still evading me. The sinus pressure is gone, but the congestion is still with me.
I have a small cough but otherwise I believe I am at 70-80% well.
Meanwhile, I’ve been getting re-acquainted with one of my favorite shows, Star Trek Voyager. Man I miss that series.
With any luck, I’ll be up and running again soon. But until then, here are some tasty Voyager icons.
Usually, I stay away from politics, due to it becoming one of those issues that gets people so worked up. But this post has been building for quite some time. I’m about to unload, and be warned: you might get offended. I won’t apologize for anything I am about to say. There’s your disclaimer.

It doesn’t affect me, because I don’t have to work on it or troubleshoot it. I didn’t ask for your opinion on my OS, did I? Nope, I presented my work and waited for a critique of my work. NOT my OS. I’m sorry if you don’t like the Aqua interface, but you know what? Aero is a rip off of Aqua anyway. I’m sorry that you don’t like Apple’s Mighty Mouse, or don’t like having to control click (Psst..there are literally hundreds of USB Mice Makers out there with a two button mouse, they will work on OS X, really!). A few weeks ago, as I was having trouble with my local server, I quoted a character that Charlton Heston played. The reference shows what a wide range of people Charlton Heston’s movies reached.
On Saturday, Charlton Heston passed away, leaving a legacy of great characters that he brought to life in several great movies. He was a movie star in the heyday of Classic Hollywood. The world will seem a bit darker without him.
