The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame named it’s 09 inductees this week; and guess what..Yep, you’re right, oh wait I WAS RIGHT…

No Rush. But they did see fit to nominate Run-DMC and Chic..

WTF?

I propose a new name for the RRHOF. The Rock & Roll Piss Stain. I’m serious. Last year they put in Madonna. This year, they’ll probably put in the disco pop group or the hip hop group. Hey, why not? Beats putting in REAL ROCK AND ROLLERS..RIGHT?

Rolling Stone, Jann Wenner and the RRHOF Board; SCREW YOU. You guys are fuckwits. Run-DMC? They are Hip Hop..not Rock. But hey, what would I know, I’m not in the biz. I’ve just been collecting albums for over 20 years…

Neil, Geddy & Alex; You’ll probably never see this post, and you’ll never care about this one fan. But thanks for the 30+ years of music. The RRHOF doesn’t deserve such talented and classy artists. Especially ones who have always been true to their art.

Well, we made it to 2009. No flesh eating bacteria virus has spread around the planet and destroyed all humankind, no nuclear holocaust..yet.., no meteors descending from the heavens to collide with Earth, oh and Global Warming? Yeah what happened to that?

So in the spirit of bad prophecies that never come true, here’s the true cynic’s guide to the new year.

Life
Life will continue to suck. It always does. You will have to work hard, struggle and pretty much do everything possible to make ends meet. That’s life. You weren’t promised a pony when you were born. Nothing on this planet is guaranteed whether you like it or not. Don’t expect a handout. Stop asking for one. Quit whining because in the words of Monty Python’s Life of Brian, “Life’s a Piece of Shit, when you look at it.”

Love
People will continue to do the most outrageous and retarded stuff in the name of it. And then justify themselves in the end when they get it. From the beginning of time, it is that fabled ideal that EVERYONE wants. We all seek it and we all end up miserable because of it. Some find it, others just blindly pursue it without realizing the consequences of their actions.  Yes, love will continue to reek havoc this year.

Government
The government will continue to be bureaucratic red tape and three to six week waiting lines. Why? Because it’s government.

Politics
The politicians that we have elected will continue to scale up the government infrastructure and scale down our individual liberties. We have too many corrupt individuals in power that are hungry for more than just your tax dollars. But we get the government we deserve and since the American populace isn’t ready to face the cold hard reality of it’s actions, we will continue to be one step closer to oppression.

Economy
It will get worse before it gets better.

Movies
Continue to suck.

TV
Continue to suck.

Music
Rush will not be inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame. No matter how many Gold Records they sell or how many arenas they sell out, there will be no respect for a band that has evolved and lasted for over 3 decades. With a wide and varied music catalogue, respected musicians and a great deal of bands inspired by them, it is still not good enough. But I’m sure Madonna’s courage to be all “SHOCKING!11!!” was enough to get her in the RRHOF. Because that’s all Madonna has, her ability to shock.

Music will continue to suck because the Record companies will continue to push out weak, pop like material with no edge. Also, it will continue to foster an environment of single-minded aherence to “think like I do” sheep mentality.

Technology
Apple will continue to kick ass whether Steve Jobs is there or not. Pundits, Commentators, Bloggers, etc.. will continue to bitch and spread rumours about him and his company because that’s all they get paid to do. Microsoft will make a black hole look like a vaccum cleaner. Technology will get more sophisticated, because that’s what it does. The internet will continue to be the biggest time waster ever invented.

General Society
Personal responsibility will continue to be missing from our society because people don’t want to take responsibility for their actions. It’s just easier to blame someone else. People want the easy route, until they wise up and learn there really is no easy route, society will continue to circle the bowl.

Miscellaneous Thoughts
Evil and Good will continue to wage war, because that is the balance. Yes Virginia, there is evil in the world. Our moral “betters” will continue to denounce you as greedy if you plan to be successful and make money. People will do stupid shit, no matter what. You can’t stop the cycle of stupidity. Those of us who truly have the courage to stand out and blaze our own trail will continue to be mocked and belittled, because we’re not sheep. Don’t sweat not being a sheep.

And finally, someone duing the year will start opining about the meaning of life and why are put on Earth..

Why are we Here? Because We’re Here. Roll the Bones.

Well the holidays are almost over. I’ve been out of town and not near my computer. Hence, no posts.

Anyways, we’ve got a new year and a new semester coming up.

Hope everyone had a nice holiday, and Happy New Year all!

This is the post in which I lament everything bad that has happened in the last year.

It’s Wednesday again, and I need the eye candy.

The economy is tanking, and with it my dreams of any kind of future, my grades came in and Statistics wasn’t pretty. My GPA nosedived and I’m feeling bummed. Plus it’s Christmas, and I’m always bummed during Christmas, because of the rank consumerism and not the actual meaning of this holiday.

So let’s have a hottie, shall we?
